Frequently asked questions (FAQ)

Can you use the outdoor sauna in wintertime?

Yes. All our signature outdoor saunas can be used all year round. Sauna Elena is insulated, which means that it'll heat up and retain the heat longer in wintertime. Other saunas might take a bit longer to get up to temperature in winter, but it'll still be warm and pleasant inside once the sauna is pre-heated. 

How many people fit into the sauna?

It depends: the compact Ula will comfortably fit 1-3 people, Jurgis is great for a 3-6 people, and Elena is the most spacious, comfortably fitting up to 8 people.

How long does it take for the sauna to heat up?

The smaller models, such as Ula 1 heat up quickly. The bigger saunas might require a bit more time. Generally, we configure the saunas with heaters that would bring up the sauna to 70 degree temperature in 60-90 minutes.

Can I opt for a different sauna heater?

Yes. In our signature sauna models, we install electric Harvia heaters, but you can always opt for a different electric or wood-burning. sauna heater. Please note that this will change the price of the sauna. 

Do I need a foundation for the outdoor sauna?

Outdoor saunas can be placed onto a foundation, pile foundations, or on an impregnated wooden base. Smaller models (e.g., Ula) can be installed without a foundation, directly onto a levelled surface.

How should I take care of the sauuna wood?

All our signature outdoor saunas arrive painted or oiled to protect the wood from humidity, sun, and traffic. The aspen wood that we use inside of the saunas is low maintenance – all you need to do is air the sauna after every use, keep it dry when not in use and once per year, feed the wood using a natural oil.

Is there any assembly required for the outdoor saunas?

All our signature saunas can be delivered to you pre-assembled. Bespoke constructions might require assembly on-site, depending on your requirements.

Can I order custom sauna size or color?

Yes. All our signature outdoor sauna models come in standard sizes and colors, but if you prefer something more bespoke, we can help you design your dream sauna and build it. 

What are the differences between Ula, Jurgis, and Elena?

Ula is our smallest, most compact sauna designed to fit tiny backyards. Jurgis offers more space and utility (an open or enclosed terrace and/or a bathtub). Elena is an insulated sauna, which means it'll be extra comfortable and cozy even in the depths of winter.
